Off-piste and powder boarding group lessons and coaching

Intro to Off Piste

Ability: Level 1 and 2

Duration: 2 days
This is a great two day course to introduce you to your first taste of powder. We will supply you with all necessary equipment required, backpack, transceiver, probe and shovel, and explain how to use them. Once you are feeling comfortable with your equipment we will develop your off piste technique and take you to some of the best hidden spots Verbier has to offer. By the end of the two days you should develop more confidence and skill to adjust to the different snow conditions and learn how to ride them to the best of your ability. Not only do we offer technical development in this terrain but we also hope that you will come away from this clinic with more knowledge and awareness of the dangers that could occur in the mountains and how to avoid them.

Advanced Off Piste

Ability: Level 3 and above

Duration: 2 days
This clinic is for those riders who have already some experience off piste and want to go steeper, deeper and larger. In this clinic we will push you to your limits. Not only will you see the wide-open, untracked areas Verbier has to offer but also the narrow and steeper terrain which has made Verbier known to some of the best freeriders in the world. During these two days you should develop the skills to go places you never thought possible. This clinic is not only about guiding and technical development but also about safety. You will also do a transceiver search where we explain how to use your equipment properly, how to best avoid an avalanche and what to do if you are ever involved in one. We hope to improve your knowledge on safety when hiking, riding and choosing lines off piste and send you away from this course knowing how to get to some of the best freeriding areas in Verbier and ride them with style.

Off Piste Camp

Ability: Level 3 and above

This 5 day camp offers 2 days of intensive training on technique and safety followed by 3 days of hiking and riding .  Your coach will help you to improve your technique through coaching on the mountain and video feedback off the mountain which we believe to be one of the best forms of learning.  A very thorough transceiver search and lecture on avalanches is also organized.  You will learn about all the different kinds of avalanches, why they happen, how to best avoid them and how to locate and dig someone out of one as fast as possible.  The latter part of the camp is focussed on technique correction while being guided to some of the best off piste areas in Verbier.  This camp will develop your off piste technique, give you more knowledge on safety and show you many of the hidden untracked areas that you would never normally find.  Do not come on this camp unless you are an experienced rider.
